Summary: Benchmark Email Launches Do-it-Yourself Email Service on Android
Email marketing company Benchmark Email has announced the launch of its app on Android devices, which allows users to send and track email newsletters on the go, and even create these emails via simple templates. This Android release joins the previously released iOS app, and offers free plans for up to 2,000 contacts, as well as the ability to create and send custom surveys.
The do-it-yourself email service allows businesses to create email newsletters on their mobile devices, or access saved content from their web Benchmark Email accounts. Only emails created on Android can be edited on Android, but those from the web can still be sent via mobile. Mobile emails can be customized with one of 10 app-exclusive templates, like one with clouds for a header, or one with green and red stripes that might be appropriate for a holiday email campaign.
Users can enter their desired text and images via the mobile interface, with support for pasting long text blocks from other locations. If users connect the app to their YouTube account, they can also integrate video into their emails.
Once the email is done, users can set a scheduled date for its delivery, or send the email blast to all necessary contacts immediately. After an email is in the wild, the Benchmark app can be used to track the number of times it was opened and its bounce rate.
“By expanding our mobile capabilities to the Android platform, we’re now making the email marketing process even easier and more accessible for our users—whether they’re working, commuting, traveling or taking time away from their desks,” said Curt Keller, CEO of Benchmark Email.
