The elite email marketing provider joins the coalition, which is dedicated to fighting spam, improving delivery rates and developing good email practices.

Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2007 -- Benchmark Email, a leading, Web-based email marketing service, has joined the industry's premier consortium, the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC). With this new development, Benchmark joins more than a hundred email service providers committed to reducing spam and taking on ever-evolving email delivery challenges.

"Benchmark Email is proud to join forces with the ESPC, a forward-thinking committee that tackles one of the biggest issues facing our sector today: deliverability," says Curt Keller, CEO of The Benchmark Internet Group. "We believe that by formally joining the ESPC, our customers will reap the benefits. These will include improved delivery, fewer spam complaints and better response to campaigns."

One of the ESPC's flagship directives is moving email subscribers to double opt-in, also known as confirmed or closed loop opt-in. The coalition requires that members adhere to a set of good email marketing guidelines, which addresses a broad spectrum of industry topics including customer expectation and unsubscribe issues. Though Benchmark Email already follows all ESPC guidelines -- and has since the company was founded in 2003 - Keller and his team felt that Benchmark's email marketing customers would benefit from the practical knowledge and experience of the coalition.
